Ad Specifications and Examples

We have a number of graphical and text-based advertising slots. Sizing, details and examples of each are given below. You can submit your ad copy to us via email, or give us an appropriate ftp or http address where we can download the ad copy. We can usually get most ads up and running in one business day.

Changes can be made at any time. With some ad purchases you may elect to have two or more ads that appear in rotation. These can be displayed however you wish (alternating, random, a particular one in the evening or on Tuesdays etc.).

Standard Banner Ads

Standard ad banner, 468 pixels wide x 60 pixels tall

Color palette	256 colors or less (GIF images)
Cookies	Cookies are not permitted under our privacy policy.

ALT text	Should not exceed 40 alphanumeric characters
Subtext	Immediately below ad, limited to 24 characters, font size = -1
Animation	Should not exceed 10 seconds in length or more than four loops
Javascript	Not permitted
Content restrictions	ILPI reserves the right to reject ads for any reason. Under no circumstances will ILPI accept ads for sites pertaining to alcohol, firearms, tobacco, and obscene or pornographic materials.

Vertical Banner Ads
