I have been trying to expand a web-based chemical inventory system
(Vertere), complete with bar code capability; it currently captures
approximately 40% of the chemicals on campus. If you could oblige me
with answers to the following, I would appreciate it:

1. Is there a mandatory, web-based chemical inventory system in place
at your institution?

2. If yes to (1), is it place due to a compliance initiative? Or, is
it in place due to a pro-active administration decision?

3. If you are willing to share- whose system are you using?

4. How many FTE's are required to run it? How many PT students?

5. Is it run by EH & S, or by departments?

6. Do you have a dedicated vehicle which delivers chemicals to
individual researchers?

Thanks in advance,
