Kristi,

I had a professor complain about the same thing.  My solution was to get a strap for a scuba mask fit it to the goggles.  This in conjunction with a strap protector has alleviated the problem.  The two links below are examples of what I am talking about.  You can probably take the mask into a local dive shop and get the appropriate strap.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Goggles with alter native straps?

Hi everyone,

I have a laboratory worker who claims to have an issue with how the st rap on chemical splash goggles puts pressure on the back of the head (speci fically with where the strap puts pressure).  I've already suggested t hat perhaps the strap is too tight, but apparently loosening the strap does n't solve the problem.  Also the strap tends to migrate back to this same nuisance position if it is moved up or down slightly.  D oes anyone know of goggles which use an alternative strap position, or perh aps that don't use straps?  I've had no luck in locating any.

Thanks for any input,

Kristi
