I remember asbestos all to well.  Worked on more schools and government 
buildings in which the abatement caused more of a problem than leaving i
t in place - rip-'n-runs, bankruptcies, etc.  Be cautious what you attem
pt.

PCBs were also used in suspended ceilings and plastic flame retardant an
d plasticizers - basic building wiring?

How about lead in paint - still allowed in military applications.

Any air samples take to evaluate potential risk??

Thanks - I did indeed mean "before" 1979.  This just seems to be the sam
e mentality that says if you have very intact paint on your walls but so
me of the underlayers are lead-based, you must remove the lead-based pai

declare the problem over, and leave some schools still with high PCB lev

from other sources.
