Meet DOT, IATA, and IMDG Training Mandates!
Interactive & Engaging Hazmat Shipper Workshops

Ship with confidence in 2013! Ensure your packages are in full compliance with new DOT, IATA, and IMO regulations. With DOT enforcement on the rise and fines now as high as $75,000 per day, per violation, effective, reliable training is critical to shipping success. Benefit from expert instruction, problem-solving exercises, and 365 days of complete on-the-job support.
Hazardous Materials Transportation (49 CFR)
On January 1, 2013, the DOT's new Basic Shipping Description sequence became mandatory. Shipping papers or labels prepared using the "old" sequence will be subject to fines, penalties, and delays. In addition, limited quantities must now display the new "Y" marking when sent by air. Learn how to comply with the new and pending changes to the DOT's Hazardous Materials Regulations with Lion's comprehensive Hazardous Materials Transportation Certification Workshop (49 CFR).
Hazardous Materials Air Shipper (IATA)
Compliance with the 54th edition of IATA's Dangerous Goods Regulations is now mandatory. The 54th edition includes: Revised packing instructions, new provisions for de minimis quantities, an expanded List of Dangerous Goods, and updated rules for marking, labeling, and documenting hazmat air shipments. At Lion's Hazardous Materials Air Shipper Certification Workshop, you'll learn all the latest rules affecting hazmat shippers. Avoid costly penalties, delays, and rejected shipments by ensuring your IATA training is up to date.
Prerequisite: Current 49 CFR training prior to program.
Hazardous Materials Vessel Shipper (IMDG)
Prepare for widespread changes for vessel shipping under the 2012 IMDG Code. The new IMDG Code includes revised EHS/GHS criteria, a complete revision of Part 7, and new marking specifications. This one-day Hazardous Materials Vessel Shipper Certification Workshop will prepare your shipping team for compliance with the latest IMDG rules and ensure your shipments reach their destination safely and on time.
Prerequisite: Current 49 CFR training prior to program.
*Training is mandatory for all hazmat employees per 49 CFR 172, Subpart H; IATA DGR 1.5.0.3; and IMDG 1.3.1. View FAQs for details.

I need to have IATA training in order to ship hazardous materials (samples, mostly) via air.

I'm looking at DGI and Lion for their online courses...I would welcome any suggestions/recommendations from those who have taken these or other online courses.

It's been more than three years since I've taken a three-day intensive course (I've been relying on someone who is currently certified) so I don't want to take merely a 'recurrent' webinar...and unfortunately, with my husband's travel schedule and my kids' school schedule, 'live' training is just not something that works for me right now.

Many thanks for your comments.
