Office of Public Affairs

Dear Chemistry Ambassador,

National Chemistry Week runs from Oct. 20=9626, and this year's theme is "Energy =96 Now and Forever!" Besides the many local activities being led by ACS sections, student chapters and others over the next few weeks, ACS also offers a variety of free, online activities and resources that engage community members about the connections between chemistry, energy and society. Help us get these resources into the hands of the teachers, students and others in your community.

Email them the links or download copies to share=97for NCW or any week.
Celebrating Chemistry student magazine in English, Spanish, Mandarin and Portuguese
Illustrated poem contest for K-12 students
Chemistry Activity Patch for youth groups

You can find additional National Chemistry Week resources, including events scheduled for your area, by visiting
http://www.acs.org/ncw.

As a Chemistry Ambassador, you can help improve the public's appreciation for the science of chemistry.
Happy National Chemistry Week

Sincerely,

Nancy McCormick-Pickett
