CHO WORKSHOP SCHOLARSHIP

SAFETY STRATUS (http://www.safetystratus.com/ ) a supporter and underwriter of CHAS has offered three full tuition scholarships for the CHAS workshop “How to be a more effective Chemical Hygiene Officer” which will be presented in San Francisco on Saturday, 9 August 2014.  This is a $325 value for each recipient.

APPLICATION FOR A SCHOLARSHIP IS NOW OPEN.  To be considered, you must submit a 150 – 300 word abstract of a lab safety related manuscript.  Based on the abstracts, three recipients will be selected.  The recipients will then be required to submit a full manuscript to the Journal of Chemical Health & Safety for peer-review and publication (if peer-accepted) no later than 2 August 2014 (one week before the workshop).  The scholarship is not dependent on manuscript acceptance to the Journal, however, it is dependent on submitting the manuscript for consideration.

Any lab-safety related topic is acceptable and the content and quality should reflect publications in JCHAS.

The DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACTS is 14 April 2014 and scholarship recipients will be notified by 18 April 2014.

Registration is now open for all CHAS workshops for San Francisco on August 8th and 9th.  You can register today at www.dchas.org

The Safety Stratus scholarships are applicable only to the CHO workshop in San Francisco.

Please send your abstracts to me – not to the list!
