Our small CSHEMA "ESPeeps" (embedded safety professionals) group just met yesterday.å We have a very strong engineering person in this group if we need a CSHEMA contact.

That's not the case in our department, probably because I am the safety coordinator for chemical engineering.
This is great to hear; I have noticed a definite trend for engineering schools to hire "embedded" safety professionals to oversee their research operations, for the reasons that Tammy outlined. If there is any way that ACS can help support your work, possibly in partnership with CSHEMA, please let us know.

Thanks, Monique, for asking this interesting question.
