I received this notice as a New Hampshire hazardous waste generator; but according to the fact sheet at
https://www.epa.gov/e-manifest/fact-sheets-e-manifest-stakeholders
this will be taking effect nationally next month. You may want to check to see what your disposal vendors plans are to deal with this change, which is long awaited but still rather sudden...

Good morning,
You are receiving this email because you are listed as an active hazardous waste generator in NH.  Please read this email, as it contains important information regarding a change in the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest.  Please do not disregard this email.

On June 30, 2018, EPA will be changing how manifests are processed/collected/ tracked across the country.  ANY state or federally regulated waste that is shipped on a manifest will be required to be part of the e-Manifest system.  Paper manifests will still be allowed, but EPA is encouraging the use of electronic manifests.  Fees for the use of the system will be based on what type of manifest being used and will be billed to the receiving facilities and TSDFs.

EPA recently distributed Fact Sheets in regards to the up-and-coming e-Manifest, which I have attached a copy, specifically intended to assist generators.

For more information or to utilize their test system, please visit:  https://www.epa.gov/e-manifest

Information can also be found on our state website.  This page will be updated as we receive new information, so please check back periodically.  All Fact Sheets that were released by EPA will also be available on this page, starting tomorrow, May 18th (Generators, Brokers, General Info, Transporters, TSDFs and Receiving Facilities).  The website address is: https://www.des.nh.gov/organization/divisions/waste/swmb/rims/faq_emanifest.htm

It is important to note: if you still use the paper manifest and not utilize the e-Manifest system when the waste is shipped from your facility, you must still submit a copy of that manifest to the state as you have done in the past.  If you use the full electronic system, we will obtain that manifest information from EPA's e-Manifest database.

If you have any questions, please let us know.  Your transporter or TSDF will also have information on how they are proceeding with this new process.
