Most suggest annual refresher training and this requirement is common to a large number of regulations. However, the same training presented in the same way gets pretty boring and perhaps not effective.

I suggest the standard of when things look like most have forgotten and otherwise annually. A clever way to do this is to have everyone take a pre-test (no names) and a post-test (no names). They self-score and turn in the tests. You will get a sense of how much stuck with them and how much the teaching impacted them.

Another alternative is to have mini-sessions monthly. Administratively somewhat difficult, but it can be effect.

Whatever the interval, make sure that you mix things up to make it interesting.
