Monona Rossol will be conducting a forum on Choosing the Right Medical Mask on Friday, February 11th, 2:00pm-5:00pm.
PLEASE NOTE THE DAY AND THE AFTERNOON TIME

There has been a lot of misleading and incorrect information being put out there regarding the use of masks to protect us in this latest Covid wave. The market is afloat in a sea of masks including:
‰?¢ Cloth masks made if every kind and color of material ever woven.
‰?¢ Three levels of ASTM standard surgical masks.
‰?¢ Medical and surgical N95s, workplace N95s, KN95, KF94 and more.
‰?¢ Masks laced with toxic graphene, nano copper, silver, or titanium dioxide

And as soon as you think you have seen them all, someone comes up with a new one

This forum will navigate this sea of masks, help us understand the design and safety standards that apply to some types these products, consider factors such as fit, filter efficiency, breathing stress, and comfort, and ultimately help each of us pick the best mask for our personal use. It is easier than you think once you know a few basic facts.

To say Monona is always informative and entertaining is an understatement, so it goes without saying (but I'll say it anyway) she is a favorite presenter of ours. She is well recognized as an expert in chemical safety for workers and an advocate for making workplaces safer. A full professional member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association since 1984, among Monona's many hats she currently serves as a Safety Officer for Local USA829, United Scenic Artists, IATSE, as a Safety Consultant for SAG-AFTRA, and heads Arts, Crafts, and Theater Safety (ACTS).
