Does each student have an assigned drawer or other such in the laboratory? Have student store goggles or glasses plus other safety gear in same.

A zillion years ago we had a rule. No eye protection, no admission to the laboratory. When about 25% of the student's grade was score from the TA or other lab instructor, same instructor got attention of student.
