The University of Washington's (UW) Environmental Health & Safety department has two Lab Safety job openings!

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Lab Safety Specialist to support the UW Laboratory Safety Inspection Program, which serves to approximately 1,000 research and teaching groups and about 4,000 laboratory rooms. This position is critical for partnering with UW organizational units with the goal of providing a safe University laboratory environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors and is responsible for the implementation of a multi-faceted Laboratory Safety Program for the University. We also are currently seeking a Safety Professional 1 to support the Research & Occupational Safety - Biosafety Cabinets Program. The BSC personnel collectively test and certify over 900 BSCs located on various campuses annually and communicate directly with labs to schedule and complete the work.
