Biosafety and Environmental Health Program Head Search #R21222

            Responsible for all aspects of the campus biological safety
and environmental health program activities within the office of
Environmental Health and Safety [EH&S] including management of
compliance activities associated with federal and state requirements
such as those promulgated by Centers for Disease Control and state
Department of Public Health.  Masters degree in microbiology [doctorate
preferred] or related field and five years of laboratory experience.
Qualified to serve as the Institutional Biological Safety Officer and
the CDC responsible Official.  Thorough knowledge of related regulations
including those related to public health and sanitation required.  CBSP
and RS certification preferred.

Hiring salary range: $51,000-$65,000  Normal Starting Salary Range:
$51,000-$58,200


Radiation Safety Services Program Head                    Search #R21246

            Oversees the program responsible for the safe use of
ionizing and non-ionizing radiation applications for the campus
community including the related compliance programming, emergency
response procedures and training activities.  Qualified to serve as the
radiation safety officer on MCRP licenses for both the University and
other campuses as needed.  Masters degree in radiological health or
related field and five years of progressively responsible experience in
applied health physics, preferably in an academic setting.  Thorough
knowledge of related regulations and excellent communication skills
required.  CHP certification preferred.

Hiring salary range: $51,000-$65,000  Normal Starting Salary Range:
$51,000-$58,200



Environmental Management Services Program Head          Search #R21247

            Responsible for managing campus environmental protection
compliance programs and services including the related emergency
response procedures, training, hazardous waste management and pollution
control.  Serves as the campus resource and authority for all
environmental regulatory requirements applicable to the campus
operations and translating these requirements into effective programs.
Supports the implementation of environmental management systems and
campus efforts to maintain environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Masters degree in Chemistry of related field and five years of
experience in operating a complex environmental compliance and hazardous
waste management program.  CHMM certification preferred.

 Hiring salary range: $51,000-$65,000  Normal Starting Salary Range:
$51,000-$58,200


Envir.  Health and Safety Officer - Physical Plant      Search #R21412

          Reporting to the EH&S Safety Services Manager, with dotted
line responsibility to the Director of Physical Plant, responsible for
the implementation of comprehensive occupational safety and health and
environmental compliance programs and services within the campus
physical plant operations.  These programs, as established in
collaboration with the central EH&S office technical staff, cover the
full range of EH&S disciplines including industrial safety and health,
industrial hygiene, biological safety, radiation safety and
environmental compliance.  Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or
related discipline and three years of progressively responsible
experience in operating a safety program in an industrial or academic
setting.

Hiring salary range: $38,100-$48,900  Normal Starting Salary Range:
$38,100-$43,500
