The University of Memphis currently has the following EH&S positions available:  Coordinator, Occupational Safety (Industrial Hygienist) and Laboratory Safety Specialist.

 

The Occupational Safety Coordinator will develop, implement, and manage effective industrial hygiene and occupational safety and health programs designed to protect health and safety of personnel and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.  These programs will include, but are not be limited to, industrial hygiene, hearing conservation, respiratory protection, personal protective equipment, job hazard analysis, and employee training.  Starting salary range is $45,000 to $60,000. 

 

The Laboratory Safety Specialist promotes risk reduction through compliance with federal and state health, safety, and environmental laws/regulations and compliance with University policy; promotes implementation of best practices to protect personnel, facilities, and the environment; anticipates, recognizes, analyzes, and helps control health, safety, and environmental risks, especially those related to biological agents, hazardous chemicals, and radioisotopes.  Starting salary range is $35,000 to $47,000.
