If you ventilate a solvent storage cabinet you lose the fire rating and it is no longer approved storage.

If you over ventilate a low flow hood it often has turbulence issues and does not work properly. You could get around that with a manual damper set properly.

I am also trying to ask similar questions of Kewaunee but today I have not been able to successfully reach anyone...
