SAFETY & HEALTH NEWS
WINTER 2005/2006 ISSUE

The AIChE Safety and Health Division Newsletter is now available in  
electronic format only.

∑   Safety of nanomaterials is discussed.

∑   Program details for the 2nd Global Congress on Process Safety  
scheduled during the 2006 AIChE Spring National Meeting in Orlando,  
FL, April 23-26, are included.  The program includes a Special 40th  
Annual Loss Prevention Symposium, the 9th Process Plant Safety  
Symposium, and the 21st Annual CCPS International Conference.

∑   Program details appear for the Division of Chemical Health and  
Safety (CHAS) sessions scheduled for the American Chemical Society  
231st  Meeting in Atlanta, GA, March 26-30, 2006.

∑   Election results for CHAS officers for 2006 are included.

∑   Russell Phifer, Chair of CHAS, discusses issues of interest to  
both AIChE and ACS members.

∑   A summary of recent news items of interest to safety and health  
professionals appears in the Safety Notes section.

∑   Brief abstracts of recent technical papers of interest to safety
