Hi all,
CHAS is co-sponsoring (along with CHED) a symposium on Chemical Education
and Chemical Safety Issues in the Aftermath of the Gulf-coast Hurricanes for
the San Francisco national meeting. Mort Hoffman of CHED is taking the
lead, but I would like to offer him strong CHAS support. With that in mind,
I am eagerly seeking suggestions or recommendations for speakers that would
make a positive contribution to the above topic.
In addition to being an interesting topic in and of itself, this will the
first CHAS participation in "Thematic Programming", which is the current
effort by ACS to foster coordination among the divisions and present
multi-disciplinary technical programs. I think this approach will be the
wave of the future (especially for inherently multi-disciplinary divisions
like CHAS).
With all this in mind, please send me your suggestions as soon as you can so
I can pass them on. Thanks, and please let me know if there are any
questions - Jim
