Subject: New CHAS Logo and Tag Line
Dear CHAS Members,
I am pleased to announce the Division of Chemical Health and Safety
(CHAS) has a new logo and tag line. Fellow CHAS member Alfred M.
Bouziane of the University of Southern California submitted a design
that matched the concept picked by the majority of the CHAS
membership. Working with Alfred M. Bouziane, we arrived at the final version.
The winning tag line "Connecting Chemistry and Safety" (18.5% of the
votes) was chosen for CHAS. "Safe Chemistry" closely followed in 2nd
place with 17.8% of the votes.
Many thanks to Alfred M. Bouziane for creating the logo and the CHAS
membership for being so involved in the process. Also, a special
thanks to Larry Doemeny for taking the lead in overseeing the logo
selection process.
The new CHAS logo and tag line can be viewed online at:

Our Webmaster (and Secretary) Ralph Stuart has been busy updating the
CHAS website, so please take a few minutes to see what is new.
Best regards,
Erik Talley, Chair (2008)
ACS Division of Chemical Health and Safety
