Session moderator Dr. Neal Langerman
Presentations related to all aspects of health, safety and environmental protection in research and pilot plant locations are requested. The symposium is part of the VIIIth International Forum on Industrial Safety hosted by the GCE Group. This symposium will be of special interest to scientists in the EU and Asia who are interested in reducing the risks associated with flammability, reactivity and toxicity. Presentations which report incidents along with a discussion of the root and contributing causes are of special interest. Presentations which report successful implementation of chemical safety and risk reduction programs with actual applications in the laboratory and pilot plant settings are also of special interest. Presentation from specialized locations, such as BSL 3 & 4 facilities, semiconductor and pharmaceutical API production facilities are also appropriate.
Significant cultural opportunities in the St. Petersburg area are available and conference participants are urged to bring their spouse.
