Ralph, At this time UIUC is surveying to determine the number of rooms on campus t hat are being used for chemical, biological, or radioisotope research. If y ou are looking for institution specific information, let me know. If you haven't already done so, it might be worthwhile to contact HHMI and other Directors' Roundtable groups or CSHEMA to see if that info is availab le for academic labs. In my pharmaceutical research experience EHS had a very good handle on the number of labs at each facility. If the Pharma Directors group still exists , they might be a good source of information.
