     & nbsp;  I assume your question is really two questions. The first quest ion is a common sense question-- is a histology laboratory a laboratory.? B y analogy, does it look like a duck, does it quack like a duck, does it wal k like a duck? ABSOLUTELY!! How could you not  expect a histology labo ratory or a clinical chemistry laboratory, etc  to not meet all the st andards plus some special requirement related to handling of human and anim al tissues over and above the general standards for laboratories. (As an as ide, I am aware of several near fatal accidents when histo technican suffer ed anaphylactic reactions when puncture wounds were  contaminated with rat blood.). The second question is a legal one, is a histo lab covered un der OSHA?  Who really cares if you follow the common sense approach. I f it were not legally covered by OSHA would you impose a lesser standard? I would hope not!
