Although I know that this film is NOT focused on chemical safety, DCHAS members in Southern California might be interested in an upcoming FREE screening of Harold Lloyd's "Safety Last!" silent film.  It's being offered by the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) on January 19, 2014.  Here's the information:
