We are conducting a COD measurement as routine analysis for seawater samples. Currently, we are utilizing chloride elimination kit to minimize this interference. The kit worked efficiently and reduced the chloride concentration in the examples. The concentration of COD after using the chloride kit around 150ppm. Is this acceptable level for the COD in sea water. Can anyone give me the range of the COD in seawater or gulf? Especially that the TOC in our samples less than 5 ppm.
