Demystify: 

Oh geez.  You leave me no choice. I have to take the role of the villain.

I suggest you consider carefully the admonition in that speech to believe things that aren't necessarily true just to have something that feels right to direct your life.  And then listen to the next speech from that same movie in the bar and the actions it precipitates. While you might get a kick out of it, be aware of the unreality of that outcome. 

Then keep watching that string of clips for the next 20 minutes.  You will see enough macho, murders and mayhem to understand how young men are beguiled by unrealistic expectations of themselves that encourages them to do the stupid things they do.

Middle aged and old men produce those movies and approve the scripts.  Mostly fading old men actors play the heroes.  They are a fantasy for old men who want to believe they still have power and wisdom.  Their only wisdom is seen in how skillfully they get both old and young men into the theater and to fantasize with them.  

I'm a consultant to the film industry unions.  I don't see a lot of  truth, values or ethics in this business.

But I'm 82 and have three jobs and write books and do expert witness on the side for fun.
