Webinar: Introduction to EPA's Planning for Natural Disaster Debris Guidance
Date: June 20, 2019
Time: 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm ET

To assist communities (including cities, counties, states, tribes) in planning for debris management before a natural disaster occurs, EPA updated the Planning for Natural Disaster Debris Guidance. Pre-incident planning can significantly aid decision-making during a response and enhance a community's resiliency. This webinar will provide an overview of the guidance and highlight lessons learned and best practices. After the presentation, we look forward to answering questions.

Leaching Environmental Assessment Framework Methods and Guidance

EPA recently added four tests, known as the Leaching Environmental Assessment Framework or LEAF tests, to EPA's official collection of methods for use in complying with the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act regulations (SW-846). Because the LEAF test methods represent a new approach to evaluating leaching potential, EPA developed a technical implementation guidance (The LEAF How-To Guide) to help potential users understand the LEAF tests and how to use them.

The Hazardous Waste Electronic Manifest (e-Manifest) System

Next Advisory Board Public Meeting

EPA will convene the e-Manifest Advisory Board to hold its next public meeting June 18 - 20, 2019. The meeting is to obtain advice from the board on "Increasing Adoption of the e-Manifest System." The Agency has received feedback from the user community that clarifying the requirements and implementation of EPA's Cross Media Electronic Reporting Rule (CROMERR) is one way to encourage greater adoption of fully electronic manifests. EPA will address this topic and present ideas for consideration by the Board.

For further information about the meeting, how to join the meeting online via webcast and to access the meeting materials, go to: https://www.epa.gov/e-manifest/hazardous-waste-electronic-manifest-system-advisory-board-meeting-increasing-adoption-e-1
