Call for Presentation – Abstract deadline is 14 October 2019!

The Industrial Safety Forum, part of the ACS Committee on Corporation Associates is calling for chemist and chemical engineers to share their experiences (particularly with regards to safety awareness) in transitioning from an academic laboratory into industrial employment. Presentations can be in the range of 20 – 40 minutes and should be directed at current students – both undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as current faculty who are preparing their students for this transition.

Abstract submission is now open at

https://callforpapers.acs.org/philadelphia2020/CHAS. The session title is Transition from the Academic Laboratory to Industrial Employment. I am listed as the organizer.

This symposium is co-sponsored by CHAS, YCC, CCS and CA, among others from ACS’ vast collection of acronyms.
