Companies that actually recycle mercury are not common. All sorts of companies exist that specialize in removing hazardous materials. They would bulk your manometer with other mercury waste and finally ship it to a recycler.  You need to do a little research to see what is available in your area.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Disposal of Mercury Manometer

I inherited a lab with an old Mercury Manometer that contains metallic mercury.  This manometer was going to thrown in the trash, but I demanded the contractors not do that.

Does anyone know of a Mercury Recycling or disposal firm that could take this?
