Excellent. I feel much better now. Now it's just the wear and tear that is the issue.

The Battelle system has a tracing system so you get your own mask back:
https://www.battelle.org/inb/battelle-critical-care-decontamination-system-for-covid19
https://www.battelle.org/docs/default-source/commercial-offerings/industry-solutions/instructions-for-healthcare-personnel---03-29-2020---615pm-revision.pdf
The system will also dispose of a mask after, I believe 20 cycles.
But, yes, the mask is likely to degrade after extended use - the elastics will eventually go, etc. etc.

Re:
I was asked to look at the H2O2 vapor system Battelle is introducing in Massachusetts.
THE BATTELLE H2O2 DISINFECTION METHOD. Remember your definitions of cleaning and disinfecting. This H2O2 vapor treatment will disinfect, but not clean. It will almost surely kill anything living on the mask, but won't remove sweat, oils, rubber latex proteins, sebum, or any other contaminant. And it will not restore the mask to the proper shape which will be pretty much altered after 8 hours of wear. All of the paper masks were only approved for 8 hours based on many factors including the fact that they are easily damaged or deformed by wearing.
One nurse's comment was right to the point when she said she wouldn't mind if they disinfected her mask and returned it to her, but she doesn't want to wear someone else's.
To get the point in your head, think underwear. Dead s't is still s't.
