Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) Program

Providing Pollution Prevention and Toxic Chemical Release Information

Did you know the Toxics Release Inventory tracks the implementation of green chemistry and engineering practices at certain industrial and federal facilities? Ten of the codes facilities use to report source reduction activities on TRI reporting forms are associated with green chemistry and engineering. EPA recently revised these codes to better capture the range of techniques and principles central to these concepts.
