I write to draw your attention to the following co-operatively co-sponsored symposium with Committee for Technician Affairs entitled:

“Other Duties as Assigned: Contributions
from Chemical Technical Professionals Working in Chemical Health and Safety”

Safety is a core value for all of those working in the chemical enterprise. The goal of this symposium is to center the voices of the chemists working in the laboratory every day, the chemical technical professional. The Committee on Technician Affairs has partnered with the Division of Chemical Health and Safety, and is seeking abstracts from benchtop chemists, research associates, service engineers traveling to client laboratories, and the many other roles where chemists are doing the hands-on work or spend much of their time in the laboratory. The purpose of this symposium is to chemical technical professionals to share their successes and challenges in this field. Contributions may be purely technical in nature or include experiences highlighting experiences specific to chemical technical professionals
