Subject: CAMEO Data Manager 4.2.0 and Tier2 Submit 2022 Now Available
| Dear CAMEO Community Members,
New versions of CAMEO Data Manager and Tier2 Submit are now available: The programs have been tested and approved for the latest operating systems, including Windows 11, macOS Ventura, and macOS Monterey. If you have questions about any of the program changes in these updates, please email orr.cameo**At_Symbol_Here**noaa.gov. Also, there is currently an opportunity to share your thoughts on the CAMEO suite in a short survey being conducted by an external group (see below).

CAMEO Data Manager is a desktop program for managing data about chemicals stored or transported in local communities, especially data required under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). It can import facility, chemical, and contact data from Tier2 Submit. There are also modules for creating records for incidents, routes, resources, and special locations. New changes in version 4.2.0 include: - Enhanced the Responder Summary feature on Facilities records so that Physical and Health Hazards checked on related Chemical Inventory records are now shown in the summary.
- Updated the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Codes in the drop-down list to the latest 2022 values provided by the U.S. Census Bureau.
- Updated the FEMA Resource Types drop-down list to the latest values from the National Incident Management System.
- Updated the county boundary checks to use the latest files from the U.S. Census Bureau.
- Enhanced CAMEO Chemicals links, so that they go directly to a chemical datasheet if there is only a single Name and CAS number match in the database. (If there are multiple matches, the link will take you to a search results list as before.)
- Updated state-specific fields.
- Added an official signature to the Windows installer file, which denotes the program developer and ensures that the program is genuine. (The Mac installer was already signed.)
- Improved program behavior when dealing with special characters in path names.

- Updated the Extremely Hazardous Substance (EHS) checks to match the latest regulatory information from the EPA List of Lists.
- Updated the county boundary checks to use the latest files from the U.S. Census Bureau.
- Updated state-specific fields.
- Added an official signature to the Windows installer file, which denotes the program developer and ensures that the program is genuine. (The Mac installer was already signed.)
- Improved program behavior when dealing with special characters in path names.

The National Association of SARA Title III Program Officials (NASTTPO) is an organization of state, tribal, and local government groups who have EPCRA program responsibilities. They are conducting a short survey to understand the current use and relevance of the CAMEO software suite.
The survey is available from the upper right corner of the NASTTPO homepage or via this direct link to the survey.
NASTTPO has developed the survey with questions for both CAMEO suite users and non-users, and they are looking for responses from all interested parties in the chemical planning and response community. |
