We often want to know that a contractor, consultant, etc. has done this or similar (enough) work which gives us greater confidence that things will go fine and not go awry.Based on experiences I could imagine a lab manager thinking or saying, "Make sure we get a contractor who does this. We don't want a repeat of that last one who kept asking over and over how we knew that there weren't any stray pathogens on the surfaces - that was a pain!"I hope this helps. Since this cabinet must, by regulation, be free of pathogens and hazardous materials, and since moving parts, if any, must be secured, why is a “special moving company” needed? If the device weighs more than a large refrigerator, it should be easily handled by any rigger. If less, then any moving company can handle. If your concern is the lab from which it is removed or into which it is located, all hazards can be easily mitigated.
Please clarify the need for the specialized service.

They have offices in SoCal. I'm just unsure if they'll move it for you. They may have advice for someone who can.
