I echo Ralph’s call to get involved in opportunities within the Division. Ralph’s tireless efforts and achievements at DCHAS are the embodiment of the statement “one person CAN make a difference”.
Or, in this case, “...an incredible, lasting, monumental difference”. Bring your passion to your work and great things will happen!

People who have read the reports of the CHAS membership committee for the national meetings this year may remember that 2022 marks the end of my time as the chair of this committee. I will also be stepping down from my other administrative roles with the Division, including moderation of the DCHAS-L e-mail list and provision of hazmat headlines news to the list. This change will present new opportunities for others to get involved with the Division’s activities. Both I and my employers have always gotten more value from the work that I have done on behalf of the ACS than the cost of the time I have put into these efforts. If you are interested in exploring those opportunities, contact the incoming chair of the Division, Daniel Kuespert at dkuespert**At_Symbol_Here**pm.meI would like to extend my appreciation to the members of the Division for their ongoing interest and support for the Division’s activities, but more importantly for their efforts in improving the chemical safety of the people they work with. I will continue specific technical projects for a couple of more years and expect to continue to benefit from the community’s efforts. As always, my thanks to everyone for their interest in Chemical Health and Safety!- RalphRalph Stuart, CIH, CCHOMembership ChairAmerican Chemical Society Division of Chemical Health and Safetymembership**At_Symbol_Here**dchas.org
