Ralph,
You were an inspiration 25 years ago as we began to talk about labs not fitting in the RCRA rules, and you have continued to be a reasoned voice in lab waste and lab safety.  Thanks for your efforts for all of us in the college/university world.  (Apparently there is some new reading on Subpart K I have to catch up on!)
Best,
Gail

People who have read the reports of the CHAS membership committee for the national meetings this year may remember that 2022 marks the end of my time as the chair of this committee. I will also be stepping down from my other administrative roles with the Division, including moderation of the DCHAS-L e-mail list and provision of hazmat headlines news to the list.

This change will present new opportunities for others to get involved with the Division’s activities. Both I and my employers have always gotten more value from the work that I have done on behalf of the ACS than the cost of the time I have put into these efforts. If you are interested in exploring those opportunities, contact the incoming chair of the Division, Daniel Kuespert at dkuespert**At_Symbol_Here**pm.me

I would like to extend my appreciation to the members of the Division for their ongoing interest and support for the Division’s activities, but more importantly for their efforts in improving the chemical safety of the people they work with. I will continue specific technical projects for a couple of more years and expect to continue to benefit from the community’s efforts.

As always, my thanks to everyone for their interest in Chemical Health and Safety!

- Ralph
