I would say :
1.) Make sure you are prepared. Read the procedure and know the hazards you are working with.
2.) Wear appropriate clothes and PPE as needed to minimize any risks from said hazards.
3.) Do not use phones or ear buds while in the lab
and make sure your safety training is up to date.

that you feel are so important that if you had a colleague who didn’t want to
follow those rules, you don’t want that colleague in the same room with
you.
When they violate these rules, they
are putting themselves at risk. They are
putting you at risk. And, they are
putting the reputation and perhaps the future of your organization at risk.
