Subject: question about testing for peroxides in organic solvents

Hello,

My name is Anja Rosengarth, I recently re-joined ACS and the DCHAS which I am very excited about.

I am the EH&S coordinator for the School of Physical Sciences at UC Irvine and we recently encountered some issues with peroxide forming chemicals and the testing of them using test strips.

I would like to get some advice on the issue, and I am interested in asking other DCHAS members what policies and SOPs are in place at their Universities/Departments.

Would you be able to put me into contact with some members or how should I go about this?

I would appreciate your help.

Have a great day,

Anja
