It is the time of the year when we look to the future of the Division, and in particular we look towards selecting new leadership. The CHAS election will take place later this year, and the Nominations committee is seeking nominations for the positions of Chair-Elect, Treasurer, and Member-at-Large.
You are permitted to nominate yourself or any other regular Member of the Division (ACS Membership is also required). Student Members, Division Affiliates, and Society Affiliates may not serve in leadership roles, but Division Affiliates and Student Members are eligible to vote in elections for officers (though not Councilors). Further information on CHAS election procedures is available in the Bylaws at

dkuespert**At_Symbol_Here**pm.me by 5PM EST on 3/14/2024. (Submitting nominations by 2/14 would be appreciated, though.) Your nomination should be accompanied by a second from another Member; if you cannot locate a second, I will do so provided the nominee is eligible to run.
Please check with your nominee before contacting me to determine if he or she is willing and able to serve if elected.
The Chair-Elect serves a 3 year term, progressing through Chair-Elect to Chair to Immediate Past Chair; other positions serve 3 years in the position. The CHAS Administrative Manual (
