It’s been many years since I polled DCHAS to seek peer reviewers for ACS Chemical Health & Safety. If you have never reviewed a paper, ACS has a nice free online training course you can access here, https://institute.acs.org/courses/acs-reviewer-lab.html.
This paper by Igor Alabugin is also a great read, How to Review a Paper.
