A. Dana Ménard (Department of Psychology, University of Windsor) and John F. Trant (Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Windsor) wrote a highly viewed paper in Nature, A review and critique of academic lab safety research. I love the collaboration from two different disciplines—psychology and chemistry.

They continue their collaboration in in ACS CHAS with a new paper looking at industrial accidents, Analysis of Safety-Related Incidents Reported at a Major North American Petrochemical Processing Facility between 2016 and 2020.

Maybe your next safety thought partner is outside of the chemistry lab. Write about it, I’d love to see more collaborations like this in the journal. Anyone else have cross-discipline collaborations going on in chemical safety?
