Demystify:
good evening,

Following up on the 'permanent' phones in labs, our ITS department is looking into what Zoom offers for phones...Zoom says if you make a call to an emergency number your local carrier will make the call BUT--I am assuming that emergency number is 911.  We have an on-campus emergency number which goes to our Campus Safety department.

Has anyone had experience with Zoom calling in a laboratory situation?  It 'works' on Zoom enabled 'desk' phones and cell phones.  I have a sense this may not be right for labs but would appreciate comments from those who either use this service, have used it but discontinued, or investigated it and decided to stay with VoIP lines.

Thank you so much-
Margaret
