Hugo -
I worked with a company that made gold cyanide solutions from gold metal for more than 30 years. I would be happy to speak with you off the List. Feel free to contact me at the email below.

Hi All,
I am currently setting up a lab to develop precious metal extraction from cyanide liquor. It'll involve first stage anion chromatophraphy and then electrowinning.
Can people please send their advice and any links to papers of best practices? I'd be extremely grateful. In particular, if anyone has good experience of how to protect against HCN evolution (an issue when eluting with acid thiourea), that would be great.
Best,
Hugo
