Pat will be missed by all. She was a great voice for all of the ACS

Found this on a 2024 DCHAS message:
Pat has relentlessly advocated for chemists with disabilities, served on various ACS governance committees, and promoted diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout her nearly 50 years as an ACS volunteer.
Patricia received the 2024 Stanley C. Israel Regional Award for Advancing Diversity in the Chemical Sciences Award sponsored by the ACS Committee on Minority Affairs at MARM2024 in June.
She also received the 2024 Chemists with Disabilities Inclusion ChemLumnary Award for her organization of the 'Teaching Students with Disabilities' symposium.
Redden also earned the 2025 ACS Volunteer Service Award which was be presented at the Spring ACS National Meeting and Exposition in San Diego.
Rest in peace Patricia

Doug, Thanks for letting us know. Pat was really great. She always seemed to have a dog in training with her. Hope you are well. Best wishes. Bob

To those who remember,
We lost the ever smiling face of long time CHAS member Pat Redden.
Pat’s obituary is on P. 33 of the April 21-28 issue of C&EN.
Pat was a Professor emerita of chemistry at St. Peter’s University in New Jersey. She received her PhD in physical chemistry from Fordham.
Pat was active in CHAS for many, many years and always added her positive presence to our meetings.
Many of us will miss her.
