Wanted to share this as the survey is to all Universities and not just those associated with CSHEMA. If you are at a University and have dichloromethane / are involved in the process of implementation, you can fill out the survey. Please do not fill out the survey if you are not associated with a University or are not involved with the process of implementation at a University.

CSHEMA Advocacy Committee

Methylene Chloride Working Group

The CSHEMA Methylene Chloride Working Group requests your feedback on implementation of the EPA methylene chloride rule at your institution. This benchmarking survey is designed to identify current practices, challenges, and lessons learned related to methylene chloride management in higher education laboratories.

We recognize that institutions are at different stages of implementation. The survey has been designed with flexibility in mind—most fields are optional, so you can provide as much information as you are able. Results from this survey will be used to help educate members about evolving best practices and help us respond effectively to the proposed extension of compliance deadlines currently under review by the EPA.

We ask that you complete the survey by June 13th. If you are not the appropriate contact, please forward this invitation to the person best suited to respond from your institution. The survey should take 10–15 minutes to complete. Your input is greatly appreciated.
