Hi All,
The UNC JST graduate students are hosting a symposium at the ACS Spring 2026 conference in Atlanta, Georgia (March 22nd – March 26th). The topic of the symposium
is Chronic Toxicity in the Lab and it is co-sponsored with the ACS Committee on Chemical Safety (CHAS) and the ACS Division of Toxicology (TOXI).
Our goal for this symposium is to discuss how chemists can protect themselves from hazards that do not resolve at the end of the workday but rather accumulate
and increase in risk with time. We invite contributions that highlight how industrial and academic laboratories train new researchers to recognize and safely handle hazardous toxins, with the goal of minimizing long-term exposure and health risks. We are also
looking to feature current toxicology research that sheds light on these risks.
Please consider submitting an abstract for this symposium at the link below (or via the QR code on the attached flyer). Please feel free to forward this flyer
to others in your department or contacts you know through safety initiatives that might also be interested in submitting an abstract.

Thanks all!
