In the 80s, I surveyed the local sections to see how many had a safety committee. Of the 183 local sections, only 10 had a safety committee.
So, LSI invited local section representatives to a lab safety course at Curry College. About 50 attended with support from the National Safety Council and the Union Carbide. The result was that about 25 more sections created safety committees.
How are we doing today? Does your local section have a safety committee?
Can anyone help me with a local section mailing list so that I can poll directly?
Thanks for your input and help.
Happy Holidays ... Jim
