Lydia,
Hoods are not an "off-the-shelf" purchase. They are an engineered system that must tie into the overall ventilation scheme of the space in order to work properly.
Prices are not mentioned in catalogs because there are about a gazillion options that you need to choose from so it's impractical for manufacturers list anything other than a base price, if at all.
I may be able to help explain. Contact me off-list.
Harry
Hello,
I am looking for assistance on information/recommendations for fume hoods in the high school setting. I currently teach high school chemistry and eventually plan to teach AP chemistry. Right now we have "fume hoods" that don't have sashes on them in the classroom. I was tasked with researching possible purchases but most don't seem to have prices. Ideally I would like to use it for demonstrations and some student use.
Thank you in advance!
Lydia Richardson
