Good morning and hope everyone heading to Atlanta for the ACS 2026 Spring meeting and conference travels safe. Just wanted to send a quick reminder and see you all soon.....................
Good morning everyone,
Hope you are all well. I would like to personally invite any and everyone who is attending the 2026 ACS Spring Meetings & Conference to my presentation during
the ACS CHAS General Papers in Chemical Health and Safety Symposium on Monday, March 23, 2026. My particular presentation titled
"It's just community college right? Reasons why your chemistry laboratory may be in desperate need of a laboratory cleanout (as well as how to do it)" will take place from
8:05 AM - 8:30 AM at the Georgia World Congress Center, room C206. The session/presentation will chronicle my experience having to perform a complete laboratory clean out after taking over as the new lab manager of a chemistry department including:
the reason for it, issues I ran into, why I had to call the bomb squad, dealing with legacy chemicals, structural changes that affected safety, and many more. Although geared toward community colleges/2-year institutions, information presented is applicable
to 4-year institutions as well. The full symposium will run from 8:00 AM - 10:50 AM and more information regarding additional presentation titles and times will be in a follow-up email to be sent shortly. Thank you all for your time and I look forward to
seeing you soon!
