Over the past 30 plus years, I’ve been writing and
reviewing Chemical Hygiene Plans. Since
2020, the Laboratory Safety Institute has been offering a complimentary
10-Point Wellness Checkups for CHPs. All
institutions can benefit from LSI's free service.
I’ve seen and suggested hundreds of ways to make CHPs
better. Now, I thought I would like to
share a weekly post with one of those ways.
Here’s #2 …
#2. The Lab Standard lists eight elements to be addressed
in the CHP. I like to see all eight
clearly identified/represented/listed in the CHP’s table of contents. Let your folks know that all the required elements are being covered by your plan.
Want more?
Send your plan to me (Jim**At_Symbol_Here**labsafety.org) in Word format and
I will return it with ten ways to make it more effective and more compliant.
Want a full review of your CHP, I’ll be happy to send you a
quote.
Next week, #3.
Best wishes for Safer Science … Jim
