Dear colleagues,
|
I have had the pleasure of leading this program for 38 years and thought some of you may be interested in attending or passing on to others in your organization in Facilities or Planning. It is based on a book that my colleagues and I first published 40 years
ago and is now in its 4th edition.
One of the key advantages of this program is it brings together architects, engineers and health professionals and lab administrators to review and discuss the critical aspects of lab design. This helps all of us
understand the various perspectives and constraints of the multiple disciplines that are involved in lab design.
This immersive, on-site program will take place on-site June 8–12, 2026 at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health in Boston, MA. The program offers:
-
Expert-led sessions on how laboratory design impacts health, safety, and sustainability
-
Practical strategies for addressing the needs of multiple stakeholders while maintaining safe laboratory environments
-
Coverage of diverse lab types, including chemistry, biosafety, clinical, engineering, and clean room facilities
-
Guided tours of various laboratories, including those focused on chemistry, nanotechnology, and biosafety, at leading Boston institutions
-
Insights into new construction, renovation, and decommissioning of laboratories
Participants will gain the skills needed to design laboratories that are safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible. This program is also eligible toward
our
Environmental Health Certificate of Specialization.
These are just a few of the many benefits the program provides. You can explore the full agenda and program details on our
website. When you're ready to develop the expertise needed to design safe, sustainable, and effective laboratory environments, you can
register here.
We hope to welcome you to Boston this June.
Sincerely,
Louis J. DiBerardinis
